Blow Molding: Digital dosing provides precise feeding

Sterling Inc.’s SDD Series Digital Dosing System provides processors with precision feeding for injection molding, extrusion or blow molding. The extremely accurate dosing system consists of a microprocessor-based controller combined with either the SDD dosing unit or the SDD 2 dual dosing unit, which offers the ability to feed dual additives at different rates.

The SDD dosing units use a dosing disc to precisely feed granulate, pellet or powder additives for almost any application. The unique dosing disc system is an accurate alternative to traditional auger feeding, eliminating the need for mechanical mixing. Sterling will be introducing the dosing system at NPE.
