Wittmann’s new servo robot series, W653 and W673, are designed for large presses and payloads up to 125 kg (275 lb.). The kick stroke beam is made of a thin-wall steel tube to offer the highest rigidity, and is guided in pre-loaded linear bearings to reduce vibration to a minimum.
A vertical telescoping arm keeps the unit’s the overall height to a minimum, which is especially important on large presses. The telescoping function also provides much faster motion of the vertical gripper arm. The vertical arm is also made of steel tubing.
The robots can be supplied with servo or pneumatic rotating axes for part placement and rotation.
