Calini’s fully automatic ATB series dual coilers are suitable for high-speed coiling of hoses and semi-rigid pipe of small to medium diameters. A dancer arm with pneumatic brake synchronizes the winder speed with the extruder speed.

The integrated strapping machine uses a new series of arches that allow the strap to pass without friction, thereby increasing the reliability of the unit.

Calini also produces PLC-controlled coilers for small diameter tubing, semi-automatic coilers and coilers for larger diameter pipe.

Reservoir upgraded on central chiller

Titan central chillers from Advantage Engineering now incorporate Tough Tank polyethylene reservoirs on all models, and rotary screw compressors on selected models. Tough Tank is a dual compartment reservoir with a hinged lid. It is insulated to reduce sweating. The pumping system includes dedicated process and recirculating pumps.

Rotary screw compressors are used on 100- and 120-ton dual circuit models and on 150-, 180-, and 200-ton triple circuit models. Rotary screw compressors are said to be more reliable for large tonnage chillers because they have fewer moving parts and low torque variation.

Quiet beside-the-press granulator

Building on the success of its X Series granulators, Cumberland has introduced the A Series 1600X granulators, which use a unique BTP chamber design that allows for direct front/top access to both upstroke and downstroke bed knives.

Offered in 16 in. x 20 in. and 16 in. x 28 in. models, the A Series 1600X machines are ideal for general purpose reclaim of blow molded parts, injection scrap and parts, extruded profiles, thermoforming sheet and film.

A three-knife, slant-cut rotor with scooped wings provides both positive feeding of bulky parts and improved airflow for cooler operation. The units are available from 20 to 40 hp.
