A new line of air nipper stands made by JDV Products Inc., Fair Lawn, NJ, provides a simple, flexible and cost-effective way to automate the degating of plastic parts. The stands can be table mounted as a stand-alone degating station, or used as a component in a fixture. Because they hold a round-bodied nipper, the angle of cut can be easily adjusted. Four degrees of freedom are possible, including a total swing of 105 degrees. Two models are available. The NST-20 has a list price of US$199.00; the NST-30 lists for US$229.00.
