Uniroyal Chemical Company Inc. introduces two polymer modifiers that improve the performance of plastic compounds. These new additives, part of the Polybond family of chemically-modified polyolefin resins and the Royaltuf family of modified EPDM elastomers, impart toughness and weatherability, as well as impact, tensile and flexural strength in end-use applications.

Polybond 3109 is a coupling agent that has a melt flow index of 30, six times faster than the 3009. Its much faster melt flow results in easier mixing and enhanced performance. Applications include wire and cable and wood filled compounds.

Royaltuf 498 offers superior low-temperature impact resistance in Nylon 6. Uniroyal Chemical Company, Inc., 203/573-3200
