To brighten up the lobbly of its head office on the outskirts of Paris, cable television company Canal Satellite chose Altuglas Elit edge lit acrylic technology from Atofina subsidiary Atoglas.
The focus of the reception area is a large 2 m by 2.5 m ultra thin illuminated panel. The 100 mm thick white panel reveals no electrical components, yet distributes light evenly. The Altuglas Elit technology is able to diffuse light across the entire surface of a panel through the sides of the sheet. Light sources are positioned along the edges to diffuse light evenly across the surface, with no shaded or overlit areas.
