The new Benz Specific Gravity Tester SG2100 quickly and accurately measures and records the specific gravity of elastomeric compounds so that researchers and quality control engineers can determine the presence and percentages of compound components. It is built of anodized aluminum and stainless steel, and features a mechanical stop to prevent weight overloads.

Measuring the dry weight and wet weight of a sample compound, the SG2100 then computers the specific gravity of the sample to the nearest thousandth.

Complete analysis of the elastomer is tested in conjunction with a Benz rheometer, viscometer, durometer and a tensile tester.

The SG2100 runs on Windows application software. Benzwin 2000 software allows the Benz Specific Gravity Tester to display, store and compare data to previous test results, as well as compute the percentage of volume swell (when used with a Benz block oven) to indicate whether outside elements have been absorbed.
