Fiber based packaging is gaining popularity as the world moves away from single-use plastics. Conveniently recyclable and reusable, fiber-based packaging is a natural and sustainable alternative to fossil-based materials. To meet functional demand requirement, the fiber based packaging supply chain is anchoring partnerships, in R&D and etc, to commercialise performance paper or fiber based packaging solution coupled with functional barrier properties, durability, heat sealability, suitable for both food and non-food applications.

Food-contact compliant and safety is key priority for paperboard and fiber packaging. Ensuring sustainability, functionality  and recyclability (or compostability) of the barrier fiber packaging are increasingly pertinent requirements too, and this is set to disrupt the entire value chain for the next few years.
