Austria-based recycling equipment maker Next Generation Recyclingmaschinen GmbH has purchased Britas Recycling Anlagen GmbH of Hanau, Germany.
The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
NGR will operate Britas as a subsidiary, and Lucian Britchi, the former owner of Britas Recycling, will remain as CEO of the operation.
Britas makes filtration systems for heavily contaminated plastic melt streams. The company’s automatic screen changers are well-suited for the filtration of post-consumer plastics waste and are used for high output rates, NGR said in a press release.
NGR, headquartered in Feldkirchen, makes recycling equipment for running in-house plastics waste and post-consumer plastics. The company is represented in Canada by Sainte-Julie, Quebec-based Auxiplast Inc.
