Material handling system manufacturer National Bulk Equipment Inc. (NBE) has purchased General Processing Systems Inc., makers of the ProductSaver line of recycling systems.

The acquisition will add three new product lines to Holland, Mich.-based NBE’s line of bulk material handling systems, according to a company press release.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

General Processing Systems Inc. is headquartered near Chicago. Its ProductSaver systems are used to reclaim and recycle off-spec packaging products.

“ProductSaver packaged material reclamation enables processing and packaging operations to recover not only packaging material but also the dry or wet contents from packages that may be off-spec, mislabeled or for other reasons, unsalable,” Todd Reed, president of NBE, said in the release. “ProductSaver systems reduce process material loss levels, beyond what even inline systems can do. And ProductSaver systems are recognized for making significant contributions to sustainability scoring initiatives.”
