PolyOne Distribution, a subsidiary of polymer supplier PolyOne Corporation, has been named the primary distributor of thermoplastic products for DuPont Engineering Polymers in North America.
PolyOne Distribution takes over from Ashland Distribution, which – after a 90-day transition period – will no longer supply DuPont Engineering Polymers thermoplastic products in North America.
“We appreciate DuPont’s confidence in selecting us as their key distribution partner in North America,” said Michael L. Rademacher, PolyOne senior vice president and general manager, distribution. “PolyOne’s extensive distribution network and infrastructure are ideally suited to support the broad range of DuPont Engineering Polymers’ products by providing customers with uninterrupted supply and premium service.”
According to PolyOne, the DuPont Engineering Polymers’ products to be distributed include: Crastin PBT polyester resin, Delrin acetal resin, Thermx PCT high performance polyester, Zenite liquid crystal polymer, Hytrel TPC-ET thermoplastic polyester elastomer, Zytel HTN high performance polyamide, Minlon mineral reinforced nylon resin, Zytel nylon resin, and Rynite PET polyester resin.
DuPont said that it would maintain additional regional distribution in Canada and Mexico.
