A trial date has been set in the fraud case involving former executives of Ontario pipe and profile extruder Royal Group Technologies Inc., including former CEO Vic De Zen.
According to the Ministry of the Attorney General, the trial will begin April 20 in the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket, Ont. The trial will be held before a judge, and is expected to take approximately two months.
The case involves six former Royal Group executives, who have been charged with defrauding the firm of a total of $29-million between 1997 and 1998.
