Vancouver, B.C.-based JER Envirotech has announced that it has partnered with Colorado-based Sprig Toys to develop Sprig Adventure Series, a line of eco-friendly toys. The toys are now available in mass and specialty toy stores throughout Canada.

The new range of toys is manufactured with JER’s biocomposite formulations, which can be substituted for pure resin in injection molded toys.

Sprig Toys is a manufacturer of environmentally friendly “kid-powered” electronic vehicles and accessories, and the Sprig Adventure Series are molded with Sprigwood, a durable and child-safe biocomposite compound made of recycled wood and reclaimed plastic, developed in partnership with JER.

“We are thrilled to be providing Canadian families with an eco-friendly range of toys for children,” said JER Envirotech president and CEO Edward Trueman. “The Sprig Adventure Series is an absolute delight for children, and parents and the general public can rest assured that they are gifting safe, non-toxic toys this holiday season.”

According to the companies, reorders are already being received for the Sprig Adventure Series from retailers who’ve only been stocking the range for less than one month. The full line of toys is currently being rolled out to mass and specialty toy stores in North America and Europe.
