Three years without a time-loss injury

Blown-film equipment maker Brampton Engineering recently marked a rare milestone in manufacturing industry: three years without a time-loss injury at its Dixie Road facility.<br>
Manufacturing manager Bob Smith said: “We have 100 workers employed at the site involved in many complex tasks. We have metal working machinery requiring skilled machinists and polishers as well as machinery assemblers and electricians working two shiftsThree years without a time-loss injury is the direct result of the conscientious efforts of all employees and diligent work of the company’s Joint Health and Safety Committee.”<br>
Smith said the company emphasizes the importance of safety through regular safety audits and in the company newsletter.<br>
