Robert Schad, founder and CEO of Husky Injection Molding Systems Inc., will receive a Life Achievement Award by the Canadian Plastics Industry Association during its Annual General Meeting and Executive Briefing. The meeting will be held on May 5th at the Congress Centre in Toronto.
Schad founded Husky in 1953. The company is noted for its fully integrated machinery, molds and automation. Schad is also known for his commitment to environmental issues. He announced earlier this year that he would be stepping down from his position of president and CEO. Schad is the ninth person to receive the award. Previous winners have included Barney Danson, Don Clarke and Pierre Dubois.
