Robert Schad, Husky Injection Molding Systems’ president and CEO, announced his intention to retire within one year. Schad made the announcement at the company’s annual shareholders meeting in Toronto on Dec. 7. Schad did not name a successor and the company’s board of directors has established a committee to identify potential candidates to run the company.
Schad, 76, will remain on Husky’s board of directors. He founded the company more than 50 years ago.
"I believe we’re headed in the right direction," said Schad. "We have developed a strong product platform, solid global operations, we have the industry’s best customer support network and our leadership team is strong. I know I will be leaving the company in good hands."
