Resin distributor Channel Polymers, which entered the Canadian market last year, has seen sales jump by 29% on a worldwide basis in 2002, according to Andrew Spicer, senior sales specialist for Canada. Channel is a wholly-owned division of H. Muehlstein Company, and is the main arm of the parent company’s LTL specialty polymer business. The company has added several new Canadian customers since entering this market.
"Coming into Canada, we didn’t want to be a ‘me too’ company," says Spicer. "We bring a different portfolio of products, not just shared lines."
The company’s product line includes resins made by Sunoco, Samsung, Kepitel and others. Channel also sells Muehlstein’s line of compounded products, such as filled PE and PP.
