Recycler Canada Fibers buying Ontario competitor HGC Management

In a bid to expand its operations in Ontario, recycling company Canada Fibers Ltd. has purchased competitor HGC Management Inc.
The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
In a statement, Toronto-based Canada Fibers said the purchase will add to its stream of recovered materials from Ontario curbsides.
Headquartered in Brantford, Ont., HGC has seven material recovery plants in the province, and also operates a fleet of 75 trucks used for home recycling pick-up.
Along with diverting household waste from landfills, Canada Fibers manufactures the material it recovers into industrial products, such as plastics for packaging, wooden fuel pellets, and garden mulch.
The deal is expected to close within 60 days.
