PET film business sold

The Petco division of compounder Groupe Lavergne (Ville D’Anjou, QC) has been sold to Klockner Pentaplast of America Inc. (Gordonsville, VA) for an undisclosed sum. Petco extrudes polyester films that are used for food and general purpose industrial and consumer packaging applications.
Klockner Pentaplast purchased the complete Petco business, including all manufacturing assets associated with the polyester extruded film business, as well as its proprietary product formulations and trade names. The new owner will continue to operate the film plant in Ville D’Anjou.
Klockner Pentaplast describes itself as the largest producer of high-quality rigid films in the Americas.
