Blow molding machinery supplier Bekum America Corporation, of Williamston, Mich., has appointed Ben Lopez as its technical manager. Lopez has more than 25 years experience in the plastics industry, most recently with Milacron, Inc.

Mark Mulone has been named extrusion sales manager for Pittsburgh, Pa.-based machinery supplier The Conair Group. He assumes responsibility for sales of Conair and MPM downstream plastics extrusion equipment and will devote his efforts initially to the large-diameter pipe segment.

Thermoplastic compound supplier Chroma Corporation, of McHenry, Ill., has announced a series of promotions. Jayson Ostrowski has been appointed to the role of quality control supervisor, Andrea Eddy is now the colour development supervisor, and Gary Bryan has been named to the position of vice president of manufacturing.

The Dow Chemical Company has named Glenn Wright to the role of commercial vice president, North American Basic Plastics.

Custom Downstream Systems Inc., of Lachine, Que., has promoted Antonio Pecora to the position of vice president of sales and business development, Vicky Fortier to vice president of administration and operations, and Christine Bergeron to project planner.
