Resin supplier Ampacet Canada Company has appointed Mike Dubreuil to the position of sales manager. He will be responsible for leading all aspects of Canada’s domestic sales organization.
Chicago-based Atlas Material Testing Technology has named Rick Weiler as the new president and CEO effective January 2008.
Process colling system manufacturer Frigel, of Lake Zurich, Ill., has named Lou Zavala as national sales manager. In this position, Zavala will be responsible for the North American sales representative network.The company has also announced the addition of Plastic Automation Engineering, Toronto, Ontario, to its sales team. Lead by principal Nick Doiu, it will be responsible for covering all of Canada with the exception of Alberta and British Columbia.
Patton Plastics Inc., which is headed up by Tony Rodrigues, has been appointed as a Canadian representative for Woodbridge, Va.-based auxiliary equipment manufacturer Universal Dynamics Inc. In addition to the appointment, the company also recently relocated to its new offices in Mississauga, Ont. Patton continues to represent Scheer Bay Co., a Bay City, Mich. manufacturer of pelletizers.
Spartech Corporation — a Clayton, Mo.-based manufacturer of plastic sheet, polymeric compounds and engineered products — has appointed plastic industry veteran Myles S. Odaniell as president and CEO and a member of the company’s board of directors. Interim CEO Randy Martin will return to his duties as CFO.
Prominent Canadian toolmaker Steve Reko passed away in late December. Reko was the founder, chairman and CEO of Windsor, Ont.-based Reko International Group, which primarily serves the automotive, aerospace and consumer product sectors. The company established a succession plan in December, which named Diane St. John as acting CEO and Greg Henwood to the position of company president.
Edmonton, Alta.-based composite building materials manufacturer Wood Composite has announced that Kurt Lennarson has resigned as vice president of sales. Dennis Collins, vice president of sales for Wood Composite subsidiary Millenium Decking Inc., will fill Lennarson’s role.
Rob Schaefer has resigned from his position as CFO and corporate secretary for Calgary, Alta.-based Resin Systems Inc. to pursue other interests. Schaefer, who joined the company as CFO in August 2005, will continue in the position until March 2008 to ensure a smooth transition period.
