A new five-layer plastic can-top label for soda, power drinks and beer made its first appearance in the market recently at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Five years in development, the Advercan label serves as both an advertising medium and a “Cleancap” designed to keep the can top clean from the bottling plant to the store shelf.
Advercan provides marketers with the ability to print a message on both sides of the label, creating new and unique marketing opportunities. Fountain Power Boats, Boating Magazine, Rob Report and Merucry engines each had Advercan ads being distributed at the show. The medium is helping market, brand and build company awareness and traffic to the companies’ WEb sites and toll-free numbers.
“Advertisers are always looking for ways to reach consumers with unique messaging,” said Kenny Mac McClintock, Advercan’s founder. “This label double-delivers: It promotes the advertiser, and created a cleaner can.”
