November could shape up to be a busy month for moldmakers with a taste for information sessions.

The Canadian Machine, Tool, Die & Mould Federation (CMTDM) and the Canadian Tooling & Machining Association (CTMA) are each sponsoring information sessions and panel discussions during November 2007 and are inviting all those interested to attend.

On November 19, the CMTDM will sponsor a Canadian Association of Mold Makers (CAMM) board meeting followed by an open forum and then a presentation entitled Manufacturing as it relates to the medical industry by guest speaker Thomas Grasson.

The CTMA will host a dinner meeting and panel discussion beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Old Scott House restaurant in Scarborough, Ont., on November 22. The discussion will focus on ways of gaining assistance to compete in the modern economy, and participants will include Rick Mohorovich, a senior consultant with the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development; and Yoshihiko Ichida, an investment advisor with the Japan External Trade Organization.
