Global hot runner systems manufacturer Mold-Masters Ltd. has been selected to receive the Yves Landry Foundation 2006 Award of Excellence for company of the year.
The annual awards — which commemorate the late Yves Landry, chairman, president and CEO of Chrysler Canada from 1990 to 1998 — are presented in recognition of individuals and businesses “that best exemplify [Landry’s] vision of forging a link between business, education and government, and promoting technological education and skills training,” according to the Foundation.
Also named as award recipients were Alberta Premier Ralph Klein, chosen person of the year; and AUTO21 Network of Centres of Excellence, selected as program of the year.
The awards will be presented on October 26, 2006, at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto.
Founded in 1963, Mold-Masters is a privately held supplier of hot runner systems. The company’s Canadian facility is located in Georgetown, Ont., and it also has locations in the US, China, Japan, Germany and Brazil.
