Magna International has whittled its search for a new president to ex-GM executive Mark Hogan, according to a report in the Globe and Mail. Hogan, presently GM’s group vice-president for advanced vehicle development, would replace Belinda Stronach, who resigned in January to pursue a career in politics. According the report, Hogan and Magna are close to signing a deal. Analysts speculate that Magna is pursuing Hogan as part of a strategy to improve relations its with the world’s biggest automaker.<br>
