Large air ring shipped to South America

Mississauga, ON-based Future Design Inc. has manufactured and shipped a Saturn VII blown film air ring with an 80-in. diameter lipset insert to a customer in South America. The air ring weighs over 2500 lb. and was accompanied by a custom-designed manifold, made of rigid ABS material. The manifold was designed to provide maximum air distribution, low pressure drop, and contoured to create the lowest temperature rise.
The air ring will be installed on a film line extruding medium density polyethylene for an agricultural application. The film has a 23 ft. layflat width.
