Kitchener to get new automation plant

Meikle Automation is opening a new 15,000 sq. ft. facility in Kitchener, ON. The new facility is required because of the recent influx of new business, according to the company. Meikle has obtained over $8 million in new business over the past quarter, primarily in the automotive and life sciences markets.
"Over eight months ago we had anticipated and planned for this sales growth, and it is exciting to see all the pieces of the puzzle come together," says Andrew Meikle, CEO and president.
Meikle has six facilities worldwide, including a recent acquisition in North Carolina.
The new Kitchener plant will be vertically integrated with complete mechanical and electrical design, manufacturing, machine controls and project management.
