Johns Manville, a Berkshire Hathaway company in Denver, CO announced the next phase of its plans to expand its formaldehyde-free fiber glass insulation capacity by up to 200 million pounds and will be a new loose-fill line at its Canadian manufacturing plant in Innisfail, AB.
“Innisfail was selected because of its expertise in the manufacturing of high-quality loose-fill products and because it is strategically located to service markets across Canada and the U.S.,” said Jeff Rea, senior vice-president with Johns Manville.
Construction has begun on the new line and it is expected to be operational in early 2006. This new line, when combined with recent HMX technology investments across Johns Manville facilities, will increase North American loose-fill capacity by 50%.
