IPEX launches new trenchless pipe installation system

Ipex Inc.has commercially launched a new system for installing municipal PVC piping systems without the need to dig trenches. The new system, TerraBrute, is made with C900 pipe specifically engineered for trenchless applications, including Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD).
TerraBrute enables contractors to standardize on PVC throughout potable water and sewer infrastructures for open-cut or trenchless methods. Assembled just before being pulled into the borehole, TerraBrute’s steel ring and pin gasketed joints have been proven to handle twice the pull force of other HDD systemsup to 120,000 lb. for a 12 in. pipe.
Its rounded bell shoulders slides by roots, rocks and other debris that can protrude into the borehole.

St-Aubin reports that TerraBrute has a unique ability to deflect at the joint that differentiates it from other PVC locking systems
