Husky to close UK technical centre

Bolton, Ont.-based machine manufacturer Husky Injection Molding Systems is closing its United Kingdom technical centre and relocating to an undisclosed smaller office.
The UK technical centre is located in Coventry, West Midlands.
“With this move, we’re going to be able to better utilize our resources by adding more people and providing more personal support for local customers,” Volker Neuber, Husky’s vice president, Western Europe, said. “We felt we could better serve those customers involved in larger projects, such as automotive, by leveraging the ample resources at our Luxembourg technical centre.”
The Luxembourg technical centre, located in Dudelange, is a 5,400 square metre facility with capacity for six machines, a customer training area and parts distribution.
In addition to its operations in Canada and Luxembourg, Husky has manufacturing facilities in the United States and China, as well as more than 40 offices, including technical centres, worldwide.
