A plastics industry lifetime achievement award will be presented to Robert Schad, founder and CEO of Husky Injection Molding Systems Ltd. (Bolton, ON). The U.S.-based Plastics Academy, which administers the Plastics Hall of Fame, has chosen Schad as the recipient of the Daniel F. Fox Lifetime Achievement Award. It will be presented at the Plastics Hall of Fame gala June 26 in Chicago, timed to coincide with NPE.
Schad founded Husky in 1953. The company is now a global supplier of injection molding machines and systems, PET molds and hot runners, plus associated technologies and services. Husky now has annual sales of $US 581 million, and employs more than 2800 people. Schad is also known for his commitment to environmental responsibility.
