Hot runner, software companies to collaborate

Software developer, Moldflow Corporation, and Synventive Molding Solutions, Inc. and manufacturer of hot runner systems, have entered into a joint development agreement. According to the agreement, both companies will collaboratively develop products targeted for the plastic injection molding and manufacturing industries.
According to a new release, development teams from Moldflow will enhance the Moldflow Plastic Insight (MPI) software product for molding filling simulation to include Synventive’s Dynamic Feed (DF) hot runner simulation functionality. In addition, Moldflow and Synventive will develop interfaces between DF and Moldflow’s Manufacturing Solutions including Moldflow Plastic Xpert (MPX) for controlling the shop floor process.
