Former Ontario Premier joins Magna board

Michael Harris has joined the board of directors of automotive supplier Magna International Inc. “The automotive industry is vital to both the Ontario and Canadian economy, and I am pleased to be able to continue my involvement in the industry,” says Harris. Harris was Premier of Ontario from 1995 to 2001.
Belinda Stronach, president and CEO of Magna, said she is very pleased Harris accepted to join the board. “Mr. Harris has tremendous knowledge of the Ontario auto industry as well as the North American economy. Mr. Harris brings a new and fresh perspective to the board.”
Magna is a diversified automotive supplier which designs, develops and manufacturers automotive components and modules, and engineers and assembles complete vehicles. The company employs 74,000 people in 22 countries.
