Flexible packaging conference will focus on imports

The Flexible Packaging Association has decided the focus of its 2004 Fall Executive Conference will be flexible packaging imports and their effect on the U.S. packaging industry. The conference agenda includes a presentation from Strategic Analysis Inc., which conducted research for FPA on the subject of flexible packaging imports. This presentation will discuss import cost structures and pricing models, packaging structures, government subsidies, capacity utilization, domestic demand, the outlook for imports and possible U.S. manufacturing losses caused by imports.
Other speakers include a trade regulations attorney and Assistant U.S. Trade Representative Chris Padilla.
