Barr Klaus, one of the injection molding industry’s leading advocates of all-electric molding, has founded a new consulting firm, Electric Injection Services, to help molders implement and justify all-electric technology. Klaus, who recently retired from Milacron as vice president, technology and holds seven U.S. and world patents for electric injection technology.
"All-electric technology almost always raises questions on the molding floor, especially for users converting from hydraulic process conditions, and often the maximum benefits go unrealized," said Klaus.
Capabilities of the new firm include project management of new installations, process and facility design, equipment analysis, training and process troubleshooting.
