The Environment and Plastics Industry Council was recognized by the Recycling Council of Ontario recently for its achievements in research, communication and public education. EPIC is a council of the Canadian Plastics Industry Association (Mississauga, ON).
EPIC received an honorable mention in the Recycling Council’s 2004 Ontario Waste Minimization Awards. The Recycling Council of Ontario states EPIC "has accomplished extensive research and market development work regarding the collection and diversion of plastic solid waste." As well, it noted EPIC’s communication and public education initiatives are "notably creative."
