Orlando, Fla.-based resin supplier Entec Polymers LLC has become an authorized North American distributor of Dow Chemical Company’s broad thermoplastics portfolio.
“With Entec’s unique combination of distribution, compounding, recycling and reselling capabilities, we are very confident that they will deliver a high level of customer service and expertise to injection molders, blowmolders and extrusion processors across the U.S. and Canada,” Mike Ginn, Dow’s North American distribution and channels sales director for plastics, said.
Entec distributes more than 1.6 billion pounds of resin annually. In addition to its corporate headquarters in Orlando, the firm operates a compounding plant in Manchester, Tenn.; a recycling plant in Hempstead, Tx.; and major warehouses in Barberton, Ohio and Plainfield, Ill.
Dow reported annual sales in 2005 of approximately $46 billion. The company employs 42,000 people worldwide, and has Canadian corporate headquarters in Calgary, Alberta, and manufacturing locations in Sarnia and Weston, Ontario; Fort Saskatchewan and Prentiss, Alberta; and Varennes, Quebec.
