Windsor area manufacturers who use 250,000 kWh per year of electricity can take advantage of two energy efficiency workshops this month.
The first workshop, Spot the Energy Savings, will be held on Oct. 13. The event will help users recognize low-cost and no-cost energy saving opportunities, and understand the electricity market in Ontario and how it affects billing. The workshop will also help attendees calculate electricity consumption for specific devices.
The second workshop, entitled Monitoring and Organizing for Action, will help energy users monitor and analyze energy use, quantify savings achieved, and understand the basic elements of an energy management plan. Computer-based energy analysis and tools will be included for each participant.
The two workshops will be held at the Caboto Club from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $100 for a single session, or $180 for both events. Interested parties should contact Sandra Smith at the Windsor Essex Development Commission, at 519-252-1704 or email@example.com.
