The Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI) and the Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) have announced plans to organize a rubber/TPE pavilion for NPE 2006 taking place June 19-23 in Chicago. The pavilion, a first at the NPE, will be a multi-exhibitor area featuring materials and machinery developments across the entire range of elastomeric polymers, including thermoset rubber and thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs). The pavilion will also include an educational program.
According to an agreement reached between the SPI and RMA, the RMA’s General Products Group (GPG) will organize the pavilion. Kevin Ott, GPG vice president, sees the potential for more than 100 companies to participate in the pavilion, which will be located on the upper level of McCormick North.
"Suppliers of elastomer-related raw materials, additives, machinery, testing instruments and tooling will find the Rubber/TPE pavilion to be a unique venue because it embraces both thermoplastic and thermoset technologies," said Ott.
