Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corp., headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, has acquired Arrow Hose & Tubing Inc., a maker of specialty thermoplastic hose and tubing.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Guelph, Ont.-based Arrow manufactures specialty thermoplastic hose and tubing for the industrial, food and beverage, and agricultural markets. It had sales of $12 million in 2006 and employs 60 people.
“The acquisition of Arrow complements Eatons thermoplastic hose and tubing product line, increases the companys offering to the food and beverage industry, and strengthens our presence in the agriculture markets,” said Craig Arnold, Eaton senior vice president and president of its Fluid Power Group.
The Arrow acquisition is the second Canadian company Eaton has bought recently. In October, it acquired Babco Electric Group, an Edmonton, Alberta-based manufacturer of specialty low- and medium-voltage switchgear and electrical housings.
Eaton reported sales of US$12.4 billion in 2006.
