DuPont to run joint elastomers business

In response to on-going anti-trust investigations, DuPont and Dow Chemical Company have agreed to make DuPont the director of DuPont Dow Elastomers (DDE) LLC, a 50/50 joint venture between the two companies. In a release, DuPont and Dow said the companies have concluded that it is in the best interests of all parties involved to consolidate control over directing DDE’s response to these investigations and the related litigation. DuPont has agreed to assume this role, and to accept a greater obligation to fund potential liabilities and costs.
