Cross named Atlantic and composites leader

The Canadian Plastics Industry Association‘s (CPIA) Atlantic Executive Director and Composites Director Duncan Cross was named the Atlantic Canada Plastics and Composites Leader of the Year yesterday. The awards presentation took place at the region’s annual luncheon at the Halifax Club.

The CPIA veteran was recognized for his eight years of service. Atlantic Region co-chair Sandy Marshall presented the award on behalf of the nominating committee.

“It has been an honour and pleasure to serve the Atlantic plastics sector, and the teamwork and enthusiasm of the group has been the cornerstone of its success,” said Cross.

In other CPIA news, the association’s Atlantic offices will close as of December 31, 2007 as part of its restructuring efforts. In addition, the composites file will revert to the Toronto office.
