The Canadian Plastics Industry Association (CPIA) has announced that it will operate a major CPIA/Canadian Pavilion at PlastImagen 2008.

The show, which offers access to the plastics industry in Mexico and Central America and has been rated as one of the five most important global plastics shows, will take place from April 8 to 11 in Mexico City.

The CPIA has contracted 108 square meters of space to accommodate two 9 square meter corner booths, five 9 square meter in-line booths, one 9 square meter Canadian information booth and one general office area. Participation in the Pavilion is open to all members of the Canadian plastics industry, providing that they manufacture product in Canada containing no less than 60 per cent Canadian content based on FOB factory price.

Organizers expect more than 31,000 customers and buyers at the 2008 event. According to the show’s website, attendees in 2006 represented buyers from Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras, Venezuela, United States, Colombia, El Salvador, Chile, Italy, Germany, Peru, Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Korea, Portugal, Canada, and several others.
