The Canadian Plastics Industry Association (CPIA) is accepting nominations for this year’s CanPlast, Leader of The Year and Lifetime Achievement awards. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, March 28, and the awards will be distributed in May as part of the association’s annual general meeting.

The CanPlast awards are traditionally given to active volunteers involved with association committees who have made a positive contribution to the health of the industry. Additionally, the Lifetime Achievement awards are given to those who have made outstanding achievements in the industry – only eight people have received this honour.

The association will also name a Leader of the Year, a practice since 1966. Last year, the industry recognized Manfred Lupke of Corma Inc. for his leadership in the pipe and profile tubing sector.
