A preview report from the upcoming Pack Expo International in Chicago touts contract packaging as an ideal answer for companies that require fast turn-around or short runs of products for special or seasonal promotions. It is also seen as a solution for companies that do not want to add labor, capital equipment or bricks-and-mortar in an uncertain economy.
One particular contract packager, Aaron Thomas, recently opened a new 240,000 sq. ft. facility in Memphis, TN to complement its 204,000 sq. ft. plant in Garden Grove, CA near Los Angeles. The company specializes in multi-packing for the club store industry, as well as producing cross-branded promotional packs. The company has a full range of packaging services such as shrink wrapping, over-wrapping, blister sealing, clamshell sealing, liquid filling, powder filling, custom assembly and bundle wrapping.
Aaron Thomas will be exhibiting at Pack Expo which takes place Nov. 3 7 at McCormick Place.
