Consolidated Container buys Quebec blow molder Semopac

Rigid plastic packaging supplier Consolidated Container Company (CCC) has purchased Semopac, a Quebec-based extrusion blow molder of polycarbonate water bottles for the home and office water cooler markets.

In a statement, Atlanta, Ga.-based CCC said that its Reid Canada subsidiary has acquired Semopac’s assets.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

“We are excited to complete this tuck-in acquisition and expand our manufacturing footprint into Canada, allowing us to leverage its capabilities and expertise to better serve our growing customer base,” Patrick Keese, senior vice president and general manager of CCC’s beverage group, said in the statement.

Semopac is headquartered in Longueuil, Que.
