Clariant Masterbatches Division (Holden, MA) has announced $1 million in capital improvements for its recently acquired Quality Colours facility located in Delta, BC. The investments include upgrading of production machinery, laboratory extrusion equipment and the installation of a new color matching computer system.
The site will receive new extruders as well as process equipment to improve operating efficiencies. The new laboratory-based computer system will link the facility to Clariant’s company-wide color matching network, which will increase the speed and accuracy of color verification, resulting in shorter time to market for new products.
As part of the integration of the two organizations, Brien Green has been named sales manager and Sean McVicker sales representative. Both are veterans of Quality Colours.
