Clariant Masterbatches Canada has expanded laboratory capabilities at its Delta, B.C. plant, and appointed two new sales reps to serve the region.

The company has announced that Grant Erikson will serve as a new sales rep for colour and additive masterbatches, covering Western Canada. Also, Allison Reed has been named sales rep for colour and additive masterbatches in the U.S. Pacific Northwest region.

In addition, Clariant has installed a new high-torque lab extruder at the Delta facility. “This extrusion line is a perfect complement to the two production-scale extrusion lines installed last year, and will provide our customers with enhanced colour matching and masterbatch development capabilities,” said Dragos Gavriluta, general manager and vice president, Clariant Canada. “When it comes to providing our customers with quick response, having a local site on the West Coast gives us a distinct advantage over other suppliers.”
