Middlebury, Conn.-based plastics additives manufacturer Chemtura Corporation has named Marcus Meadows-Smith as executive vice president for plastic additives.
Meadows-Smith, who joined Chemtura in 1993, said that the company’s goal “is to build lasting partnerships with customers. Our company’s theme is ‘Value is our strongest additive’, and we’ve put together a strong management team to fulfill that promise. We’ll work diligently to control the impact of rising costs and to bring service levels up to what our customers expect and deserve.”
Meadows-Smith will continue to serve in his previous position as executive vice president for Chemtura consumer products and crop protection.
Chemtura reported 2005 annual revenues of US$3.9 billion, and employs approximately 6,500 people in facilities located throughout the world. The company has an administrative facility in Pickering, Ont., and manufacturing facilities in Elmira, Ont., and in West Hill, Ont.
