CCL inks two strategic growth agreements

Two divisions of CCL Industries, a manufacturer of products, packaging and labelling solutions for the consumer products industry, have signed what is being termed "significant agreements" with customers.
CCL Plastic Packaging has entered into a strategic alliance with Weener Plastik Packaging Group, headquartered in Germany. Under this licensing agreement, CCL Plastic Packaging acquired the exclusive manufacturing and distribution rights to Weener’s entire product line for the United States and Canadian markets. Weener is a designer and manufacturer of plastic closures, dispensing systems, tubes and other products.
In addition, CCL Custom Manufacturing has completed a multi-year agreement with a major marketer for the annual supply of approximately 30 million units of products from CCL’s Memphis, TN and Rexdale, ON liquid filling facilities. CCL has committed to spend $2 million for equipment in order to accommodate this added volume.
CCL is headquartered in Toronto and employs 7,000 people at 35 production facilities in the Americas and Europe.
